Genuine and charming, Pensionat Haga is once again open for visitors!
The inn, originally built in 1924, has been extensively renovated into a relaxing oasis for our guests. Any of our beautiful ten rooms are the perfect place to enjoy the quiet and distinctive beauty of Öland.
With Pensionat Haga as a starting point, there is less than one kilometer to the harbor and beach of Sandvik, with a lovely view of the island of Blå Jungfrun.
Besides the dazzling blue of the ocean, there is something for everyone here: from child-friendly Sandviks Kvarn with a pizzeria, restaurant and mini-golf course, locally made ice-cream from Gelato & Biscuits Café, restaurants Sandviks Fisk och Hamnkök and Sandviks Hamnkrog, and ICA Nära Trossen, the local convenience store.
From Pensionat Haga, it is 30 kilometers south to the towns Köpingsvik and Borgholm (the latter celebrating a 200-year jubilee this year with many events) or 20 kilometers north to Löttorp, the largest town of the north part of Öland.
Take a daytrip by bike along the stony western shore and stop for a picnic by the impressively old windmill “Skurkvarnen” in Jordhamn village, or bike over to the eastern side and relax on the shallow sandy beaches at Trosnäs and Tingskullen.
Or let the road take you north to world heritage site of Byrums Raukar, and then onwards to hike the magical forest of Trollskogen. Finish the day at the end of the road, with the stunning view atop Långe Erik lighthouse.
We are happy to share excursion tips to make your stay here more enjoyable.
